This Wednesday, September 7th, is Independence Day in Brazil, before this date Brazil was a Portuguese colony.On September 7th, 1822, Dom Pedro (the Portuguese prince) announced Brazil's Independence on the shore of Ipiranga river.
He shouted: "Independence or death!"
